GAS Series headed back to Senoia September 20th



Senoia, GA - - The Georgia Asphalt Series (GAS) Pro Late Model touring series is headed to New Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia, Saturday, September 20th in a 100 lap event. The popular series sanctions Pro - Late Model Stock Car racing throughout the Southeast.

New Senoia Raceway is where the GAS Series originally began in 2004. The series has continued to grow over the last 5 years with events in Alabama, Florida, South Carolina and of course Georgia. This will be the third visit to them fast 3/8th mile oval in 2008. Ryan Sieg and T.J. Reaid won the two previous events in their first ever GAS Series wins.

With the season winding down, the points race begins to tighten up. Russell Fleeman of Dacula, Georgia regained the series points lead over Ryan Sieg of Decatur, Georgia after the last race at Peach State Speedway. Fleeman's lead is only 5 points over Sieg. Rounding out the top five in points include rookie T.J. Reaid of Acworth, Georgia, Nick Potts of Jefferson, Georgia and rookie Max Gresham of Griffin, Georgia. Reaid continues to maintain a comfortable lead over Gresham in the Five Star Race Bodies Rookie of the year standings.

New Senoia Raceway is located between I-85 & I-75 on Georgia Hwy 16. Three miles west of the City of Senoia.

Other local classes will also compete. Racing begins at 7PM.
